SHERRI ROLLINS

Sherri works on council to build safer communities through safer streets, community safety, social and economic development including building a more inclusive city through housing first, and poverty reduction efforts. In her first term she worked to build a better city for everyone by building a larger housing department, and ensuring $25 million in Rapid Housing flowed to community organizations that needed it. She supported Amoowigamig, Winnipeg's first public washroom in decades, and is proud of the construction of two more at the Pavilion in Crescent Park and the washroom at Churchill Drive Park. Her safe routes to schools work in partnership with the Green Action Team meant more sidewalks and traffic calming and loving 30km there are more traffic calmed greenways in Winnipeg than before she took office and she is particular proud of her work with Winnipeg's climate justice community on biodiversity and greenspace.
