MI FRONTLINE SUPPORT

MI Frontline Support started as a simple project by Erin Barbossa, LMSW: a grassroots list of local Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, and Brighton therapists who signed up to support their community members working in the ICUs during the initial days of the COVID-19 crisis. It quickly grew in size and scope. Frontline responders in and out of medical settings began to echo the need for more support during this challenging time. Simultaneously, clinicians in the Ann Arbor and surrounding areas were convening to brainstorm and identify the types of support most needed and the most effective methods of delivery. With a strong conviction that mental health support would be a crucial element for those on the frontlines to cope and help buffer some of the inevitable overwhelm of this crisis, the initiative went from an idea to a collaborative reality...
