Dr Nita Robinson is our medical officer and has been associated with the practice since 2022. Before joining the practice, she worked in an emergency medicine setting, completing her Diploma in Primary Emergency Care in 2021. She has a special interest in palliative care and is currently completing her Diploma in Palliative Medicine through the University of Cape Town. She is a strong advocate for achieving quality of life for patients.
Dr Charleen Muller is a new resident oncologist at Vita Oncology. She was born in Cape Town and graduated from UCT in 2005. She spent the last 18years in East London, 9 of which was dedicated to running a private oncology practice. She is passionate about multi disciplinary meetings and was instrumental in starting breast-, urology- and GIT meetings in the Eastern Cape. She returns to Cape Town to spend time with her family.
Dr. George Loots has been associated with the practice since 2007. His experience as a family physician prior to specialising in oncology grants him a deep understanding of holistic medicine and individualised patient care. He enjoys teaching and instructing and is often approached by companies to host academic talks and presentations.
Dr. Loots has a special interest in prostate and gynaecological cancers, as well as brain tumours. He practices at both the Bellville and Cape Gate rooms.
Dr Ilze Fourie is the youngest oncologist on our team and has been associated with the practice since 2018. She is a born Capetonian and completed her degrees at Stellenbosch University (BSc MBChB MMedRad T). She also holds a qualification from the College of Medicine of South Africa (FC Rad Onc).
She is a generalist, but has a special interest in breast, gastrointestinal, skin, gynaecological and prostate cancers. Patient empowerment is very important to her and she strives to involve patients in all treatment decisions. She sees patients at both the Bellville and Cape Gate rooms.
