Standard started from co-founder Keith Garrett's commercial van to now being a multi-coast ship repair company and San Diego's #1 choice for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Welding Services. Inspired by Rockefeller's drive and determination while building Standard Oil, Keith decided to name the company Standard Ship Repair. He and wife Gina devoted their lives to making sure this company was just successful. Since 2017, Standard became a go-to company to call because of the passion, dedication and reliability that was shown through action. Standard was available when other companies weren't. Keith put boots to the ground setting the foundation for what the company is now. After such success with NDT, he realized that there was also a need for qualified welders for our nation's defense fleets that come through San Diego's waterfront.
